Professional Boxers join the team at Close Protection Security

Here at Close Protection Security we have two professional boxers join the team, Josh Leather and Will Howe.

Also a sponsorship with Steven Robinson, Professional Heavy Weight Boxer who is a close friend of Glenn's by previously working in the film/television industry together. We are continuously supporting up and coming sports persons and welcoming them to the CPS family.

Josh Leather, IBF European Super Lightweight Champion, Josh made his professional debut in September 2013, his last 4 fights have come over a period of 1 year, 5 months and 7 days, meaning he has been fighting on average every 4 months and 11 days. In those fights, he fought a total of 25 rounds, meaning that they have lasted 6.3 rounds on average. Josh Leather's last fight took place against Glenn Foot's on 11th Nov 2017, in Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom. He won by unanimous decision after 12 rounds. Leather remains undefeated as a professional, stopping 3 of his recent opponents.

Will Howe, England Super Heavyweight Boxer also known as the ''Boro Balboa'', trains up to six times a week in preparation for his future. "He always liked sport", says Allan Will's proud Dad, "I took him along to boxing when he was nine, I used to box, so I took him to build his confidence up and see if he liked it".

William has played both football and rugby in the past, but four years ago decided to solely focus on his boxing career. Back in 2017, he won a European bronze medal when he came joint third in the light-heavyweight division at the EUBC Junior Boxing Championship, aged just 15-year-old. In September 2019 William competed in the European Youth Championships, in the men’s super heavyweight +91kg category, taking third place. Now with future goals to represent England at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, he has some tough work and training ahead of him to get to where he wants to be.
